Our tea bar began as a kettle in the corner. Now it has a travertine counter and a very opinionated menu. Here are the three cups we pour most often.
The ritual matters more than the recipe.
The first is fresh ginger and lemon: sharp, bright, perfect after a power class. The second is toasted barley, which tastes like a hug. The third is tulsi and rose, our unofficial Stillroom drink.
Make any of them at home: warm the cup first, steep for five minutes and drink it by a window. The ritual matters more than the recipe.
