When we designed the studio we wrote one sentence on the wall: lower the shoulders. Every material was chosen against it. Oak is warm underfoot, lime plaster softens both sound and light.
Every material was chosen to lower the shoulders.
The main hall faces north because north light is even and shadowless. Three tall windows do most of the work during the day, and washi lanterns take over at 2200 K in the evening.
You can see the plan, the palette and every dimension on our design page, or walk around the whole studio in the 3D tour before you ever visit.
